CAYUGA LAKE, NEW YORK
Where: The longest of the finger lakes in central New York. Glacial waters means beautiful crystal blue lakes.
Anyone that knows me knows that I am a magpie for colors. My closet is filled with prints and colors of all kinds and I only recently purchased little black dress for myself. So it can come as no surprise that Autumn is my favorite season to shoot. Growing up in New Orleans, the heat and humidity of Summer never really let up until November and the leaves remained as full and green as can be until Winter. I didn’t properly experience the majesty of Autumn until I moved up North for college. Now each year, whenever possible, I like to take weekend trips upstate to experience the full beauty of this short season.
Isn’t this the most perfect tree? A strong wind blowing that full head of golden hair bending the lean stem ever so slightly.
